It's all about juggling your opponents in order to give yourself space to use your jutsu or special moves. The fighting system itself is also deeper than what one would expect.
Platforming challenges, racing, and other activities are there to give more depth and variety to the experience. I'm just saying that there's much more going on here.

Combat is still a big focus after all and the fighting game genre is just the best way to bring the series big battles to life.
